About Me

Back in 2015 I decided to train as a therapist, when I was in a very difficult situation myself. I found that seeing a counsellor really helped me to make sense of the things that were going on in my head and around me. Having someone simply listen to me without any judgement was incredibly valuable, and I wanted to be able to offer that same experience to other people who need it. I finally finished my training in 2018, and thanks to Covid, finished my trainee hours in late 2021.

For those of you that like to know which modality your counsellor is trained in, I am Gestalt trained, which you can read a little bit more about by clicking here. I take a flexible approach to counselling, adjusting and adapting to the individual needs of each client.

In 2022 I completed the ASIST training course (Applied Suicide Intervention Skills Training) and am qualified to give suicide first aid to those who may be experiencing suicidal thoughts and feelings.

I am BACP registered and I follow their code of conduct, which can be found by clicking here. I am also fully insured, and in regular supervision with a senior therapist.

Sessions take place in a beautiful location in Wheathampstead, Hertfordshire, and I also see clients online where requested.
